Destination Pureora meeting. When: Tuesday 19 August, 3-5 PM Where: Pa Harakeke, 138 Maraeroa Rd, Pureora, 07 929 8708 Why: To receive updates and to discuss the formalization of a Destination Pureora entity. Thanks to the Timber Trail the visitor numbers who come to cycle or walk in the Pureora Forest Park have been growing steadily. Up to this point Glen Katu - Pa Harakeke and Monica Louis -Timber Trail Accommodation have been the driving forces behind a voluntary operator networking group using the umbrella - Destination Pureora. Some operators, Waitomo District Council, DOC and Regional Tourism Organisations have expressed a wish for a more formalized group. This meeting will address the next steps for formalizing a Destination Pureora entity.
