Did not know that I was a part of this group. Well, hi! Im a friendly atheist who is willing to have a debate with anyone willing to do so. I am a good person, mother of 3, who works with disabled people to help them get back on their feet for a living. I am a former member of the LDS church who has found a lot wrong with its teachings. I have also studied the bible and have also found a lot wrong with that. No one has ever been able to give me a logical, rational argument to support religion other than it being a type of support group, but only for those that buy into the nonsense. If they do not have to pay taxes, they shouldnt have any say in the government. Separation of church and state should still be enforced but unfortunately its not. I believe in seeing all people for what they are, human, and not judging but rather understanding where they are coming from and why. I know that subjects like gay marriage are typically a religious debate. But that with the science of DNA we have discovered a gay gene. Of course we have choices but not everything is a choice. Some people are born with no legs. We cannot judge or condemn those people for not walking, the same we cannot judge nor condemn gay people. Also, The bible was used to degrade women and condone slavery. Not moral at all by any standard. My position is that religion does more harm than good, and worst it teaches and spreads lies.
