Did you earn this? I once drove a NASCAR stock car. It was one of those Richard Petty driving experience things in Las Vegas. And make no mistake, it was awesome! Im not fooled though - while I did okay with the car, theres no way Im ready for Daytona. I havent put in the work. I havent earned it. The problem when things come too easily for us is that we havent built the muscles to handle the adversity that comes with any job or challenge. Im often asked by parents if well guarantee employment for our students. No. Ive even heard some say, youre not going to give them a job when they graduate? Nope. You need to earn that. Were going to give you the skills and tools to do that yourself. Youre either going to take those skills and tools and try-fail-repeat until you succeed, or youre going to go do something else for a living. Which is fine, but just understand that if you want the job, you have to earn it. Youve got to put in the sweat-equity. That way youll be prepared to handle the bad day, the adversity, the day when everything is pushing against you - youll have built the muscle needed to overcome.
