One of them is the San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative (COI): COI is a public-private partnership whose mission is to reduce and prevent childhood obesity through policy, systems, and environmental change. The purpose of the COI is to create, support, and mobilize partnerships among multiple domains; provide leadership and vision; provide advocacy and education; and coordinate and sustain county-wide efforts to prevent and reduce childhood obesity.
