Disappearance of Flight MH-370 Okay, it has been two weeks now - TopicsExpress

Disappearance of Flight MH-370 Okay, it has been two weeks now and still no airplane. Back on Friday March 7, 2014 most of us learnt that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 had vanished. That is probably one of the most baffling events that Experts and Lathe people have ever heard of in recent history. The not knowing what happened to the aircraft and the two hundred and thirty-nine people onboard is something that I wouldn’t wish upon any family, let alone their friends. This is an event that makes me think about Amelia Earhart when her plane disappeared almost without a trace. The wreckage of the plane was recovered a few decades later, but we still don’t know exactly why they crashed and what happened to the remains. Right from the beginning like most of you, I started wondering how something as large as a Boeing 777 aircraft can turn up missing. When looking at it in the grand scheme of things, it’s pretty easy to see how it could go missing. As large and deep as the oceans surrounding Malaysia are, hiding a plane along with its passengers could be done. Like a lot of you, I’m sick and tired of hearing Aviation Experts provide theory after theory after theory as to what they believed happened to the aircraft, without providing any foundation for their beliefs. “This might have happened…”, “The pilot probably did this…”, “The co-pilot said this…”, “Pilots will usually do….” This is what we are getting from the Experts all over the world. Any of us could have provided this very same information almost without foundation, putting us right on the money, and making each of us Experts at the same time. In their defense; we all know that the people searching for this missing Boeing 777 aircraft are as baffled as the rest of the world. They probably want to find this missing aircraft more so than any of us. Not so they can put the families whose loved ones are missing at ease, but so they can get some answers and other ideas on how to keep something like this from happening again in the future. To give credit where it is due, retired NTSB Aviation Investigator and Veteran Pilot Greg Feith, has been very cautious with his statements and has debunked a few of the semi popular theories. Mr. Feith has been before the media cameras several times over the years and knows that a few words from himself can have people thinking all kinds of things. Of course the news media is hanging onto every word the Experts write and utter. The one thing that the news media has done a good job of, is keeping this event on the front burner of our minds. This is something that we shouldn’t brush aside and simply forget about. None of us would want to be forgotten about after a tragic event like this one. Where they have gone wrong is not providing any foundation for the myths they are telling us. A lot of the time the media is telling us stuff from a few days prior, which we already know. In other words, they aren’t telling us anything new! They aren’t expending any of their resources to help find the missing plane, which I thought they would do in order to look better than competitors. And they are exposing more than their share of inaccuracies. CNN is gloating in its ratings triumph over FOX News. They are good at pointing the finger at the people in charge of the airline and the people investigating the event. But they like the other media outlets haven’t provided any of us with an answer as to what possibly happened to the aircraft and its occupants. Okay, I’ll let them off the hook. Like the rest of us, those loud mouths don’t know either. Back when I was in Journalism School, my instructors stressed that we answer the four “W’s” and the “H” in every story that we wrote; something that is almost never done these days. For example: Who: Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 What: Disappeared during a routine flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Beijing, China. When: The evening of Friday March 7, 2014 Where: Somewhere over the ocean How: ? It’s the “H” that we are all waiting to be answered. We all want to know how something that large can go missing without a trace, and stay missing for as long as it has been. The worst thing that I was made aware of by the media was how the Malaysian Government and Malaysia Airlines are treating the relatives and friends of the missing Passengers. At a news conference in Kuala Lumpur this week; people who flew from Beijing were forcibly removed from a press conference. These people are grieving and all they want are answers. If anything like this happened to the Malaysian Government Officials, airline officials, and/or their family members, I’m quite sure they would be highly upset as well. When I started writing this essay, I vowed to myself that I wouldn’t provide a theory as to what happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Due to the uncertainty surrounding this event, I couldn’t resist. I think that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 simply evaporated! Think of it as steam rising up from a boiling pot of water. After a certain point it vanishes into thin air. Until proven otherwise (which I hope happens very soon); this is the theory I’m going with. Think about it. It explains everything. It tells us what happened to the Boeing 777 aircraft, all of the two hundred and thirty-nine people onboard the aircraft, and what happened to all of the luggage and other stuff on the plane. I know my theory seems to make light of this very tragic event, and you can be mad with me for posting it. But that’s just my two cents!
