Div Com reviews development activities, availability of essentials at Kupwara Asks for early stocking of essentials for winter SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 19: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Mr. Shalindra Kumar today reviewed the developmental works being executed in border district of Kupwara besides took stock of the essential commodities in the district. Stressing for the completion of developmental works within stipulated timeframe, Divisional Commissioner asked for prioritizing of demands of public utility besides expediting the works being undertaken under PMGSY and timely compensation of the hail and blast affected crops to the farmers. He directed for ensuring regularity and punctuality of employees in the offices so that better services are provided to the people besides redressing their grievances. He also exhorted for conducting of survey of damages caused to the fruit crops and paddy in the district. Director CA&PD Kashmir informed that adequate stocks of essentials are available in the district and dumping of the stock for winter of rice, atta, sugar and kerosene oil shall be completed in the month of October 2013. Among others, Director CA&PD Kashmir, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Mr. Itrat Hussain Rafique, Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara and officers of District Administration attended the meeting. Earlier, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir interacted with the members of Civil Society and senior citizens of the district and was informed about their requirements including uninterrupted power and water supply infrastructure development, road connectivity and transport facility. Mr. Kumar gave them a patient hearing and assured that their grievances shall be redressed on priority.
