Do you ever have one of those days you just wish would never end...a day where everything was better than you could of ever dreamed of.... that you felt like you were living your own fairy tale....I had one of those yesterday. Here is my fairy tale....my prince charming had a day planned just for me. A surprise he had been teasing me about all week. He whisked me away driving around and around in different directions to confuse me. We arrive at Boulderwood Stables where there is a beautiful pair of horses ready to take us on a private trail ride. But.... before we left there was a gift for me...the sweet girl brought me a beautiful ball shaped vase full of flowers in a soft pink and a card that that told me he loved me and how happy I made him. We rode along the trails together through the beautiful countryside. He told me that was phase one... we left and headed city bound to phase two which was yet another thing I wanted to try... We went to Katbahn. We raced each other around the track giggling and laughing like fools. My handsome guy took first place and I came in 5th. Our next destination was downtown Halifax and a tour on the Harbour Hopper. The awesome tour guide Max made sure we were the first on the hopper and that we had the best seat....wait a minute did he just wink at Ian... Halfway through the tour I am surprised again this time by Max with another glass ball vase with yellow flowers that match my first ones and yet another card... this one stating how much he love the time we spend together and how I am always the first one on his mind. It started to become obvious that someone did some major preplanning to get this to come together. After the tour I was told to change into my formal apparel I had been told to pack that morning. We arrive at Saltys on the waterfront where I am lead to the beautiful upstairs to a window front table with a view of the harbour. The table is beautifully decorated with another glass ball vase with white flowers and a card telling me how beautiful I am to him. When I ask why we are the only people on the upper level and downstairs is so packed...I was told it was because this is only for you and I with a big smile. At this point I feel the tears creeping in, wow...I knew something big may be about to happen and my heart melted. We had the most amazing meals and enjoyed the view and each other. We leave heading down the boardwalk hand and hand. We get our picture drawn by a cartoonist and leave laughing at the image with our huge chins and foreheads. Just so happy to be together. I am then told we are heading for our last destination which is the best one of all We wind out of downtown and arrive at Sir Sandford Flemming Park. We drive around this beautiful stone tower where at the top unbeknownst to me there are people watching from above scurrying to prepare my surprise. We climb the iron spiral staircase to see people coming down the stairs smiling at us. We arrive to find our selves completely alone in the top of this beautiful stone tower overlooking the entire Northwest Arm There in the corner is another ball vase of flowers this time in red with diamonds on them perched between two glasses of wine and another card telling me how much he loved me and wanted us... forever. He takes a paper out of his pocket and the tears trickle down my cheeks. He tells me how happy he is and how he will cherish me through a lifetime of beautiful tomorrows. My Prince Charming then drops to one knee at the top of the stone tower and asks me to marry him. My heart pounds and as tears pour down my cheeks I say yes. The most amazing fairy tale has came to life before my eyes... its our fairy tale... our happily ever after. Yesterday was the most romantic beautiful day in my life... our love is so amazing. I cant wait to spend the rest of my life enjoying it with the man who means everything to me. Thank you for all you have done. I love you my Prince Charming with all of my heart and soul xoxo
