Do you start Perez or Ishy in left tonight? Listening to KNBR - TopicsExpress

Do you start Perez or Ishy in left tonight? Listening to KNBR this morning, they almost convinced me to go with Perez. Hey, hes got the hot bat. Normally, Ishy would start vs a right hander but this is game 7, you need your best defense out there. And it would be awesome for Boch to have a lefty on the bench tonight. Its all about getting your 27 outs. Perez is your best guy to get outs. But Huddy is not a fly ball pitcher. Thats good news for Ishy. Then I started thinking, how important has left field been this series? So I took a look at my scorecards. Friday night Huddy went 5.2 innings, only two outs were fly balls, only one to left field. Last night there were no outs to left field recorded. Are the right handed hitters not pulling the ball? Heres the key: Keep Ishy in left, keep the ball low and outside to the right handed hitters and hope nobody pulls any. Get a lot if grounders. As soon as Huddy comes out of the game, and Ishy gets one last at bat, consider putting Perez in left. And just hope a good right handed hitter like Cain doesnt pull one. One of the big reasons why KC is one win away from winning it all is because of players like Dyson and Cain, who can cover a lot of real estate in the large Kauffman Stadium. The Giants will win tonight because Huddy is a ground ball pitcher, taking away the huge outfield advantage the Royals have over the Giants. Since I was born, there have been over six thousand San Francisco Giants games. And only six days in my life, I could say, If the Giants win tonight, they will be World Champions. Today is one in one thousand kind of a day and I can feel victory and I see myself, like Hunter Pence, a champion. Humm baby, go Gyros!
