Does anyone have experience with renting property in Philadelphia? We have encountered some ridiculous requests/requirements from the management at Park Plaza Condominium Association while trying to rent out my grandmothers condo. They want her to have a tax id # and a Business license in order to rent her unit out. They require her to hire a property manager to manage the unit at all times. My mother and I are fully capable of managing the unit there is no need to pay a manager once the unit is occupied. The last manager we hired didnt respond to the tenants calls, emails, maintenance requests, etc...the tenant ended up moving out because of this! Sounds like PHILADELPHIA is asking a lot!! Or is it just the condos management association? I would really like to find out! The new tenant was scheduled to move in TODAY and would not allow her to because she had not reserved the elevator and paid the $270 fee! Sounds ABSURD to me!!!
