Does anyone know what was created September 25th 1789? Anyone, well I will tell you “The Bill of Rights”. Does anyone understand WHY this was created? Why would James Madison write this? I can come up with ten reasons why. I may be one person but I am one person with a voice given to me by James Madison. I am one person who will stand against a “Federal Law” to be forced to sign up for something that is not fighting for our freedom. When we as a nation wrote “We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” We did not do it for someone in the white house now to “force” us to do something. When we wrote that, we wrote it to break away from England, from the taxes the king was putting on us. From the, French and Indian War in 1754, to the Intolerable Acts in 1774. Now I know times have changed which is a good thing in some ways, but to be forced to sign up for a health care plan that our government is not even signing up for? Yet if we don’t we are FINED. Wow what does that sound like? Anyone? Townshend Acts? Is that not what we fought against in the first place? I may be one person, but I am a person with a voice. I maybe have a small and weak voice right now but this small and weak voice will only get stronger. I may be one person but I have the knowledge in my head and in my heart. I may be one person but this one person was given rights! Now as I sit here, looking at what my choices are I can not help but think that my rights as a person in this nation that I love is being taken away. James Madison wrote the original 10 of the bill of rights. Does anyone recall what number 9 is? Number 9, RIGHTS RETAINED BY THE PEOPLE, which means just because it is not listed does not mean it is not there. I do not know what our nation is coming to. I can not believe it has come to this. I may be one person, but with time this voice will be shouting!
