Dont Stand Another Chance Released: August 13, 1984 Two to the Power of Love Released: September 15, 1984 Fast Girls Released: October 23, 1984 Dream Street Released: November 20, 1984 Dream Street is the second studio album by American recording artist Janet Jackson, released on October 23, 1984 (see 1984 in music). More pop than her debut albums bubblegum soul feel, the album wasnt the runaway success that Janets father Joseph thought it would be, peaking at number one hundred forty-seven on the Billboard 200 in 1984. Today, this is Jacksons rarest album and is much sought after by fans, though it is still available as an expensive Japanese import. The album did have one modest hit for Jackson, the top ten R&B single, Dont Stand Another Chance, produced by brother Marlon. Also, the video for the song Dream Street, her first music video, was shot during the shooting of the TV show Fame. This would be the last of Jacksons pre-stardom albums. She would break out of her squeaky-clean sounds with her Control album in 1986. After many years of being unavailable, the album was made available to iTunes on May 15, 2007. Physical copies of the album are out of print, thus very rare, and especially hard to find in the United States.
