Dont be fooled by the name. This place is a glorified motel, and thats not a bad thing. They charge a $7 per night resort fee. We will not use any of the amenities, so I think of it as a parking fee. When I am in Florida I only need a room to sleep and shower in. Big bonus is that Magic Kingdom is less than 6 minutes away. Universal and MCO are about a half-hour away. You will need a car. A previous review said to ask for a renovated room. Which I did. I was happily accommodated and presently surprised. I did a bed inspection. The mattresses looked new, had a cover on them. Cheap sheets but at these rates I am not expecting Hilton quality. The beds are fine, a bit soft, but comfortable. The desk staff was very nice and attentive. You can tell the place is old, but has had substantial renovations done. The rooms are clean, even the baseboards, grout, and corners. My standard room (read the cheapest they had) had a microwave and mini-fridge, ample drawer space for two people, table with two chairs, two sinks (one in the bathroom, one outside the door makes getting ready easy ), The floors are tile and cold. I would suggest bringing flip flops or hard soled slippers to walk around in. They have a restaurant on the premises. 3 pools, one of which is covered and heated. For the price, I would stay here again.
