Sure, there are moments in life when its easy to throw the switch on passion--when youre going to a party, cheering on your favorite team or youve just had a big win at work. But what about the times in between? Are you passionate about your relationships in the middle of an ordinary day? Does your work excite you even months into a project? Many people let their routines become monotonous and trade their passion for indifference. But once you let passion subside in your life, it is hard to stay committed. You might toy with the idea of quitting your job, ditching your spouse or moving to a new city just to rediscover passionate living, but you know the consequences of these decisions usually arent worth the short-lived passion you gain. Thats because finding passion is an inward journey, not an outward excursion. Passion is a decision. You simply decide to approach the important things in life with excitement and enthusiasm. Make a decision to protect your passion and dont let negative attitudes, circumstances or other people pull you down. Some claim theyre not the passionate type, but I disagree. God designed you to be passionate. Keep your passion for God and helping others, and discover one of the greatest joys this life has to offer.
