Dont give up on us! Nanette had some blood pressure issues the past week and is just now starting to feel human again. She PROMISES to resume the important work of SMP very, VERY soon! Thanks again for your patience! In the meantime, she wanted to share one of her favorite videos - a little guy named Grayson, who she photographed at the Animal Protective League in Springfield, IL. Grayson is a young puppy with a clotting disorder who had a bleed just south of his shoulder blades. As a result, he went down from that point back and therefore cannot move his back legs. As you will see, he is very young and lacks the strength to pull himself around or use wheels at this time. He cant really even bark, although he is INCREDIBLY cute when he tries. Kudos to the APLs veterinarian who doesnt give up on pets like Grayson. Because of his condition, however, he will never be available for adoption (the vet will have to put him down if/when he has another bleed). But until that day comes, Nanette cannot think of a better caretaker for this incredibly spirited puppy!
