Don’t put your confidence in powerful people. My prayer for us today…”Father, I come praising you, with every breath and in every circumstance. Today, you remind me that you are there, with every answer that I need and have given me every talent required to do the things you’ve called me to do. I come before your throne today, for my friend reading this and myself. Your word specifically tells me, to not put my confidence in powerful people, but to trust and praise you. You’ve caused my path and that of my friend’s, to cross the path of those with great power, knowledge and influence. Let us have the wisdom, discernment and even the unction to know what role to have with these people play in our lives. You give specific answers when we ask you for them, God. Show us, specifically, why you have brought these folks our way and tell us how to best use their knowledge to achieve the goal you’ve set for us to achieve, Lord, you’ve shown us the goal you’d have us press toward. You’ve given us the gifs we need to achieve that goal. You’ve placed what we need to learn in our path and provided the ability to learn it. And… you’ve brought our way people of influence and power. Let us learn from them and build the relationship with them that you’d have built and let our confidence be in you. For with our confidence in you, and with you as our compass, we can then be trained by them and enjoy life with them, as you direct it. And what you direct, that promise… it lasts forever. (Psalm 146:1-7)
