Dr. Cornell West of Princeton has been a personal inspiration to me since I was in college in the 1970s. He speaks nothing but the truth--whether it hurts or not--but always to the benefit of all mankind. His contributions are just as important as Dr. Martin Luther King (to whom he was a friend and colleague). This speech (which commemorates the Attica Prison riots in 1971) is one of the most inspiring I have heard since Kings After Vietnam speech.
