Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the Idea of Service: Everybody - TopicsExpress

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the Idea of Service: Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You dont have to have a college degree to serve. You dont have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. Along the spirit of Dr. King’s quote, I once read that service is love put into action. Thus if we ourselves are love, and love put into action is service, then any time were expressing love, in any of its forms, were being of service. When we smile at one another, we are being of service. When we pray for one another, we are being of service. When we give hope to one another, we are being of service. When we are assisting, being forgiving or kind to one another, we are being of service. Today in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. legacy let us acknowledge the grace we can gift to each other, by remembering that every moment, when we are being who in truth we are, we are being of service.
