Drama in the neighborhood this morning. A neighbor has been getting a little wonky of late. He is on disability, perhaps for bi-polar and/or schizophrenia, and may have gone off his meds. His behavior has been deteriorating over the last week or so. sometime friendly and talkative, other times giving a silent glare to my greeting. Yesterday he walked the dog(a nasty roty with a history of aggression and biting) barefoot 7-8 miles to the next town over paved roads. This morning he had some sort of confrontation while walking the dog again, the local cops got involved and sent him home. He was in his backyard throwing things and screaming at the police, half a block away. This went on for several hours, his sisters were called in to try to talk with him, but he yelled at them also. He was very agitated and yelling threats at everyone. Finally the sisters signed papers to have him put in a local hospitals psyche ward for observation. I feel sorry for him and hope he gets some worthwhile help.
