During a period of meditation/contemplation it occurred to me as I am sure it has to many of you that the job of law enforcement in out communities is NOT protect and serve it IS to contain and control. this is a military concept! if the target population is seen as a threat/danger to the status quo then the first thing that must take place is to create an atmosphere of FEAR!, then to monitor and limit FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT then to harass, detain and constantly question those belonging to the targeted group. (CHILD CURFEW), (STOP AND FRISK), (CHECKPOINTS) ETC. The status quo has reasoned that there are ACCEPTABLE CASUALTIES in this process and as long as the targeted group remains docile the system works, however as with all such operations at some point the enforcers become more and more vicious in carrying out their duties and begin to accelerate the violence and it this age of VIDEOS and SOCIAL MEDIA those acts cannot be hidden/dismissed! as the targeted group begins to retaliate against this abuse of freedom the status quo increases the pressure on law enforcement and other political entities (MAYORS OFFICE), (CITY COUNCIL) to squash the dissent which in turn leads to more violence! The system deeply fears and rightly so that the criminal prosecution of an agent(s) of law enforcement or politician will set a precedent that will lead to a breakdown in the total system therefore they investigate themselves and are almost always found INNOCENT OF ANY WRONGDOING!
