ECAD Silent Auction Item: TOUR OF AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY Bob Ashton, retired mechanical engineer, offers a special tour of The American Museum of Natural History. Bob has been a docent for over ten years at the museum and has designed a tour based on his knowledge of the museum and long interest in the subjects. The tour he has designed includes cosmology from the “Big Bang”, star and solar system formation (Rose Hall of Cosmology); earth formation, plate tectonics, evidence of early life (Hall of Planet Earth); vertebrate evolution (fourth floor halls of vertebrates, dinosaurs, mammals) to the Hall of Early Man. A continuum from the very beginning to the present day. “A short history of practically everything”. The tour takes a good 2 ½ to 3 hours, requires a good amount of walking, appropriate shoes and is not ideal for young children. The tour can be modified for a specific group. The size of the group must be limited to 10. Admission tickets to the museum will be provided, but contributions to the museum are encouraged.
