EJAC workers beat teachers, Lock them Inside school Police registers case Police Sunday registered a case against the two leaders of Employees Joint Action Committee for thrashing school teachers in North Kashmir’s Pattan town. Reports said that scores of EJAC workers headed by Qamar Din Qadri and Muhammad Ayoub made their entry into Government High School Hamri Pattan and forced teachers and students to lock the school. “We had kept our school open on Saturday as the exams of the students are approaching. EJAC president Pattan Zone, Qamar Din Qadri and Muhammad Ayoub made their entry into the school compound and not only forced us to vacate but thrashed some of the teachers besides hurling volley of abuses,” one of the teachers Muhammad Shafiq Shah told CNS adding that he was beaten to pulp by these employees leaders. The school management lodged a complaint in police station against the duo and accordingly police registered an FIR. Confirming the registration of FIR vide 252/2013 under section 353 of RPC, Station House Officer Pattan, Mehboob Bandey told CNS that police has launched a hunt to nab them. “They are absconding and their mobile phones are out of order. Hopefully, they will be arrested soon,” he said. (CNS)
