EU-Projekt in Mailand – Projektpartner im Rahmen der Expo 2014 zum Erfahrungsaustausch über Freiwilligentätigkeit gesucht Partnersuche im Rahmen des Grundtvig Programms - Visits and Exchanges: Municipality of Rho town (Lombardy, Italy) will be the headquarter of Milan EXPO 2015 and will play an important role before, during and after EXPO. The Rho territory will be directly involved in EXPO and all the citizens will be called to engage in some way. Volunteering will be a crucial activity to involve citizens and to make EXPO a relevant opportunity to participate in an International Event and to grow in skills and competencies, in particular for young people. Municipality of Rho wants EXPO to be a learning opportunity for all the territory and encourages Institutions and EXPO Society in capitalizing on experiences that EXPO will leave for the future. It promotes and supports volunteering through advocacy, knowledge sharing and capacity building & training, produces services, interventions, support and development for organizations and the world of solidarity. Municipality of Rho looks for partners in Europe for the project “Youth for EXPO” in order to participate in the next call for proposal (deadline 17th september 2013). General objective of the Project is to organize a 4 days visit in Rho in February 2014 to share and compare: - different practices of managing volunteers during Events - best practices to recognize and value skills and competencies that volunteers can gain through volunteering for Big Events. The deadline for the partner search is 27th August 2013. We ask you to be so kind to disseminate the partner search among your local and regional contacts (local authorities, civil society organizations, foundations, voluntary organizations which have managed/coordinated or will manage/coordinate volunteers during large scale events).
