Earlier this evening my Dad Leroy went to Heaven to be with Jesus. Although I am sad that we will not have an amazing and loving man with us anymore, I know that he lived a long, full, and blessed life. He had a wife and family who loved him very much. Most of all, Dad loved Jesus so much! Its so appropriate that he would leave this earth and step into eternity on this Thanksgiving Day. When I already have so much to be thankful for, I am most thankful right now that we--those of us who have asked Jesus to be Lord of our lives and have committed our lives to Him--have the hope of Heaven. Our whole family can be thankful for that, knowing exactly where he is tonight. There is no doubt, no wondering...Hes in Heaven. The Bible says that this life is but a vapor, meaning that it is here one day and gone the next. None of us have a guarantee of our next breath on this earth. If you dont know for sure if you would spend eternity in Heaven if you would stop breathing right now, you can have that assurance right now! That is THE best legacy that you can leave your children and family is for them to know that when you step from this life into eternity, you will be in Heaven.
