Earlier this week, I had the honor of hosting the kick-off press conference for the 2015 Catholic Charities Appeal. This year’s theme is “Giving Hope.” Various agencies within our Secretariat for Catholic Human Services carry out this message of hope daily by serving more than 200,000 people from all walks of life and of all faith traditions. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our ability to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, educate the vulnerable and special needs children, and support those in need is greatly enhanced. I was joined by some wonderful young people from Our Lady of Confidence Day School, one of four schools of special education in our Archdiocese and I’m sharing some photos with you here.
