Earlier this week in Sparkling Gems devotion from Nov 11. This was the confession at the end and I just felt someone may need this. Confession... I confess that I carefully guard my life by closely affiliating with people who love Gods Word, respect God-established authority, and act as positive influences in my life. I do not allow myself to be dragged into relationships with people who refuse to seriously walk with God. Those who negatively influence me are not the people I choose to be my closest friends. Nothing in the world is more important than my walk with a God. Since those who are close to me have a tremendous influence on my life, I choose friends who, like me, make their walk with God their greatest priority. ***ask yourself am I influencing my friends to want to pursue God or are they causing me to let things slip? We dont just maintain our relationship with The Lord without certain disciplines. And in all my years of walking with Him, I see this one device the enemy uses the most, weak friendships and 9 times out of 10, the weak one influences the one that use to burn with passion. I have felt an unusual urgency in my spirit about negative relationships for weeks but with the deaths of The Munroes its been stirring in my spirit more than normal. Dr Myles Munroe influenced the world with his passion and leadership. He left a positive mark on everyone who knew him. Ask yourself do I leave a positive deposit or a negative one??
