Encourage male on male relations with your crew. It keeps morale up while out at sea for months at a time. When you’re done burying your treasure, shoot the men who buried it. Then you’ll be the only one who knows where it is and will have more gold to spend. Boil sea water, collect the steam, and let it drip into jugs. You’ll never run out of water. Carry 3-6 pistols at easy to reach locations on your body, and make every bullet count. You won’t be able to reload in the heat of battle, so more pistols equals more shots. Charge your smart phone for long voyages. You never know when you’ll need your GPS.
