Ebay Seller update - starting in April we will be able to see how the new scoring is going to affect us. We will have until August to make any adjustments (granted the august evaluation counts June, July & August - so start making your changes expecting Junes scores to be reflected on the August evaluation). Some of the most important factors I can foresee are to participate in everything eBay has to offer for sellers in order for buyer/seller protection - this means, opt into the hassle free returns, offer Free Shipping (even though they are going to de-rate low scores on shipping costs when shipping is shown prior to purchase) Opt into the global shipping program. Also - extended holiday returns! If you want to maintain your exposure and top rated discounts you better do it! Overall - I like the general new rules. This could mean an end to choice listings, where the buyer gets to choose a color, a shade, a vehicle, that is not specifically offered via multi-variation listings though a drop down menu on your sales page..... because the seller has to wait on the buyer to give their choice, so the seller can not ship with same day or 1 day processing time unless the buyer tells them right away.... why? Because, we used to be able to just print the shipping label and upload tracking with in one day, even if the item didnt actually ship...... NOW, in order to be a valid same day or 1 day ship the label needs to be scanned in and validated by the delivery service! Read, the updates, listen to the radio show, call eBay and ask questions.... I will tell more about what I learn as I learn it.
