Eddie Murphy was pretty much a funny black guy off SNL that goes on to be a major Hollywood star. Yet, Eddie Murphys career became rather white washed and tame when he did. Sadly, tameness is to some degree why SNL likely gave Che the nod. Che is a top notch comedian, but he takes an often neutral and technical stance with race issues. Hes not a Pryor or Chapelle, not in a bombastic over-the-top sense. Instead, he comes across very affluent and nonconfrontational to the audience. Hell do absolutely great on Update. But the larger context of diversity is likely to be untouched. Che will likely just be a Will Smith or Eddie Murphy, which isnt terrible company, but their neglect in an article written about changing Hollywoods pipeline seems to tell the story itself. - some dude.
