Eight CSU tennis student-athletes named to the MEAC All-Academic team BALTIMORE – Eight Coppin State tennis student-athletes were named to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) All-Academic team, the conference office announced Wednesday. Carentxa Goede, Oleksiy Krylchuk, Jennifer Mitchell, David Ogan, Roderick Peyton, Reginald Robinson, Miranda Taylor and Patrick Thomas were the Coppin State representatives on the MEAC All-Academic team. Overall, the MEAC honored 67 student-athletes, from the conferences 13 institutions who achieved academic success during the 2013-14 academic school year. The Coppin State men’s tennis team qualified for the MEAC tournament for the third consecutive season and will meet Norfolk State University in a quarterfinal match Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center in Cayce, South Carolina. MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year are eligible for All- Academic accolades. “I commend our mens and womens tennis student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the academic school year,” said Commissioner Dennis E.
