Employers need students who can think, not just take standardized tests, according to a story in todays Globe. I often wonder how frustrated innovative teachers must get when forced to follow a strict curriculum and expend so much class time on testing. I imagine most of us had a teacher or were part of a learning experience that has stayed with us, for good or bad, for our entire lives.
