Enjoying a peanut butter sandwich.....emphasis on enjoy. Damn it taste good. Remembering my first proper job at a large telephone manufacturing company in the Southern suburbs. The good old days....I must add. Nevertheless come tea time we all used to rush to the canteen and enjoy what ever was packed for lunch. My buddy Al who was newly wed.... was appreciative of what ever his new wife packed. Being a bachelor I just bought a sandwich. Then there was John a hardworking family man. Always a smile and friendly gesture... and always at work. Come tea time John’s smile will disappear replace with a frown on his face. Followed with the words “al weer peanut butter” after he opened his lunch box. That continued in the days to come. By the forth day....I was irritated with his behaviour and intervened with the words “stop complaining to us....speak to your wife”. Then a mumble from him..... I pack my own sandwiches. Morning friends.
