Entertaining the thought that possessing what another has, will give you satisfaction or make you feel accomplished is only fantasy. This fantasy which is deeply rooted in possessing what the envious fellow lacks, sprouts in a falsified admiration or the false esteeming of those who possess what the envious fellow lacks (Mary C. Lamia, ‘Envy: The Emotion Kept Secret’). It finally fades away, once the envious fellow acquires what he/she envied in others.
