Evening, night time forecast & 3 day outlook: Tonight: A very mild night for thee time of year, with lows of around 8C, the chance of some light rain throughout the night. Hill fog will again be persistent above 450 meters (Leek road), (the A537), may be affected by dense fog tomorrow morning. Through the day we are expecting a mixture of sunshine and light showers, midday may be the best chance to catch a glimpse of sunshine. Later in the day light or moderate rain showers will return, making for a wet rush hour. A mild day with highs of 9C. Tomorrow Night & Friday: Due to North Westerly winds, temperatures will take a slight dip on Friday, with rain clearing South, Friday morning should be sunny and dry, with temperatures of around 3C to start, just escaping a frost. Later in the day, sunshine and cool air, with a fresh North West wind, will allow showers to form over Liverpool and bring some outbreaks of showery rain, with sleet or hail maybe mixed in, on Friday afternoon. Chillier than of late although not wintry at 3-4C. The risk of showers, brought in on a cool NW wind continues overnight into Saturday, these mostly very light between the clear spells early on Saturday, falling as wintry precipitation for the higher ground although nothing of note at all. Perhaps a slight frost early on Saturday, although this clearing as Saturday looks to be a dry day, however with increasing cloud from the South West as the Breeze continues to be strong. Highs of 5C, feel like temperature on Saturday: 2C. Winds will strengthen further on Sunday, with sunny spells early on although increased rainfall likely later. A slight frost early on, clearing quickly, temperatures of 6C by 3pm (the high). Feeling chilly in the strong winds on Sunday night and Monday, although temperatures will be at a reasonable 5-8C into Monday with outbreaks of rain and strong winds. A mild Tuesday we think with cloud and light rain, perhaps slightly cooler on Wednesday (24th), and Thursday (25th), with the low risk of some wintry showers. Green or White Christmas? Wintry showers will be around the UK, although whether they will affect Buxton remains uncertain, we think there is a slight or moderate risk. Please stay tuned for further updates, thank you :-).
