Every summer has a story…I’d like to hear yours. School is out, ice cream cones are dripping and little leaguers are heading into their playoffs. As we move through the summer months I’ll be stopping to see my fellow chamber members. This will be a chance for an introduction or a chance for us to get caught up. Your Chamber has been busy in the past few months. In March; we hosted our 4th Annual Plainville Pizza Feud. Vero Pizza was the overall winner. Although, Vero was up against some very fierce competition, thank you to the following participants: D’Amico’s Restaurant, Pagliacci’s, Sergio’s Pizza II, and Two Brothers Pizza Restaurant. The Plainville Chamber Commerce 106th Annual Dinner was held in March. We honored a handful of Plainville’s best. Congratulations to all! • Linda Garcia (for her work with the Farmers Market, and other non-profit organizations) - she is the winner of the Distinguished Volunteer Award • This year the Employee of the Year Award goes to - Shawn Cohen & Rhonda Guberman from the Plainville Senior Citizens Center • Business Recognition Award goes to the D R Templeman Co.
