Every vote will be critical with regard to the immigration bill. - TopicsExpress

Every vote will be critical with regard to the immigration bill. Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly voted against the DREAM Act in 2010 (when he was a Congressman), and he is still “undecided” on Immigration bill being discussed. It is important for the DNC to know that Mexican-American / Latino voters are keeping a watchful eye to how the Democrats vote on CIR. If Joe Donnelly does not vote on a bill that is near and dear to our hearts, we will encourage Latinos to leave the Democratic Party to become independent voters if the DNC funds Donnelly’s future campaigns in Indiana. Senate is expected to hold cloture vote on immigration bill either Monday or Tuesday. FINAL PASSAGE vote is expected Thursday. Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly still holds the position of “undecided” on the bill. Give him a call: 1-888-979-7506 ->Dial 2 and put your zip code ->Dial 2 for Sen. Joe Donnelly ->Leave him a message that says you want Sen. Joe Donnelly to publicly announce his support for a pathway to citizenship, and to vote in favor of Immigration Reform bill SB-744. More importantly, we understand how influential Catholics are in the State of Indiana — if you are a member of the Catholic Church, we urge you to send a letter to Catholic Indiana leadership reminding them of how Donnelly has voted against our community in the past, and how he may need nudging on doing the right thing this year.
