Every year I have the same slightly nauseous - TopicsExpress

Every year I have the same slightly nauseous “I-ate-one-too-many-pieces-of-candy” feeling at bedtime Halloween night. One of these years I will outgrow the habit of eating sweets and junk all day on Halloween! It’s really not my fault though. When I arrived at work someone left some festive pastries right beside the coffee machine. In plain view. People are so inconsiderate! There was a bowl of candy on every desk in every office I went into today. I didn’t want to be rude and offend people and just IGNORE their candy bowls. Then there were school parties this afternoon with snacks and junk food. I did have an apple at the party (it’s not my fault there was caramel all over it!). And this evening there were fall festivals and the church “trunk or treat”. Rushing from place to place who has time to stop and have a healthy plate of real food? Not me! So I’m eating a skittle here and a tootsie roll there just to keep my stomach from growling. Some lady at the fall festival handed me a bowl of nachos with cheese. That was the last thing I needed but my son was standing right there and I didn’t want him to see me wasting food so I ate the nachos, with chili, and jalapeños. Now I’m miserable and will likely be up for a while waiting for my stomach to forgive me!
