Everyone makes choices: where to live, who to live with, where to work, how to contribute to the place where he resides .... permanently or temporarily. This choice is not subject to public discussion. Nobody has the right to criticize the personal choices of others. More interesting is if we folks contribute to the welfare of the state and with what? Few people are the one who live the mission to work with the heart and soul of society. Most people choose the easy way - to complain and blame without having the courage to change their life or seek information to form a personal opinion. Then comes the gossip and copying it. Money find their way as wel.... to justify the acts of many in this this process. This I call - the corruption of the soul! What happened with the protests in the square in Sofia, Bulgaria? Is there any politician or banker sentenced for bribery and unlawful actions? NO! .... Bulgaria becomes NOlgaria.... There are people who have the courage to intervene and dig in the dirt of state affairs! Mediapool publish detailed information about many disorders The State agency for Bulgarians abroad did recently concerning the procedures for the issuance of a certificate of Bulgarian origin. The State Agency has issued thousands of such certificates to the Albanian Kosovars and Macedonians without being asked evidence that some have Bulgarian ancestry. And where were Bulgarians in NYC and abroad to protest then. Bulgarians is there any fear in your souls? .... Fear of change ... Maybe thats why we agreed to 500 years of Turkish control or influence / whatever new directives refer to/ 45 years totalitarian regime, 25 years in search of democracy , and so on. Maybe were not mature enough for the rule of law and democracy, where women have an equal start, the young have a chance for education and advancement, and their voice and knowledge are respected. Bulgaria unfortunately drove and continues to chase its potential abroad. Too bad! And when a person appeared, who wants the whole truth to be known, wants a new approach and attitude in the administrative and political climate, it is difficult to find people for support . Levski was betrayed by cowards, Martin Luther King was ugly removed and there more miscellaneous examples of fear from the truth. Who are those Bulgarians who write in the net? Do you have serious jobs? Bulgarians Abroad are 2 million. Is it relevant what 46 from them say.... 15 years ago, I was the first Bulgarian who won Fulbright scholarship in the field of contemporary dance. Fulbright is not given to random people .... I returned to Bulgaria with a masters degree in fine arts, not because scholarship obliged me, but because I believed as Iva Iordanova that my new knowledge will contribute to the development of contemporary dance back home. Then I felt what it means not to be understood in your own country, where there is no willingness to understand and apply the new. I will refrain to mention two institutions, which continue today to produce diplomas with programs dated from 30-40 years ago. I offered information for their use and educational programs updates. But after receiving the proper curricula refreshment, some “very concern” employees did everything possible to prevent me being part of their teams. Perhaps they were afraid of diversity or the fact that newness leads and another new behind, and when youre not ready to accept it, all that promote it shall be removed. I call this intellectual robbery. My choice was to leave Bulgaria because I have a responsibility towards my own live. My life does not include fear as part of it. I chose to work for Bulgaria beyond its borders. Today, hundreds of Bulgarians in NYC feel closer to Bulgaria because I share my life with them, Bulgarian folklore and culture. A remarkable fact is that in the last three years 75 children dance Bulgarian folk dances here in NY! But today, I also wonder whether Bulgaria deserves my cultural mission after continuing to refuse its citizens ?! This happens today with Iva Iordanova, who has unique experience and qualities of a leader, who is a young professional, politician and public figure, but few people have the desire and patience to see it. Tension that is created today is preparing for the chance for change and presenting the truth about The State agency for Bulgarians abroad to die. Bulgarians, please sit honestly with yourself and ask yourself what your motives for such hatred and vulgar language is? Do you want again and again old faces to manage the future of Bulgaria? Aside from making a 40-hour week and have some money, what exactly do you do for Bulgaria so you criticize the quality of others working for it? If you want to know the details of Iva’s life and and experience in Bulgaria and abroad, why don’t you talk in person? Did you look for her professional CV, Resume, etc...before believing the “yellow page” journalism! Do you have the courage to look her in the eyes? This young woman worked more than two years without a penny and any material benefit to learn the policies in Bulgaria. What kind of democracy we are talking about when the woman is still considered to be one half the man? Bulgarian women, do you agree to be considered the Adams rib? And those of you, who eagerly looked upon Iva’s advices in the past 2-3 years, why are you silent now? Or you are keeping your backs and reputation, right? Im sorry, I voted for you! You, Mr. Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister .... how do you defend your subordinates? ... Will you remain silent or will give out loud what is your opinion .... Do you have consistency in your decisions? If not - its worrisome! Publicity ?! What kind? ... on the substance or subjectivity? I feel disgust working 5 years for Bulgaria ( no offense to my beloved students and respected families), every weekend, ignoring my personal life and see today no courage in Bulgarians to stand up and say: Enough lies, lack of consistency and clear information. Perhaps the time has come to rethink whether I shall continue to work for a country that still rejects its future and youth?!
