Exactly 31 years ago; Nigeria was under tension, palpable fear, and total apprehension because General Buhari audaciously evicted a democratically elected President-Shehu Shagari. If the Coupist Buhari did not strike, maybe there will still be credible Country today. The second Republic was terminated by Buhari and that was the gateway to General Babangida, Abacha and Co. Many Analysts have argued that the long military invasion between 1983 to 1998/1999 was responsible for the fall in standard in leadership in Nigeria. In between the period was the sad experience of truncation of double popular democratic mandate belonging to Alhaji Shagari and Chief MKO. As much as we may try to forget, Can we forgive Buhari who later exonerated President Shehu Shagari? #Wemustbewise#
