Exodus 3:2-5 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush:and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither:put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. I want to share with us four powerful prophetic words today and they are. ; ATTENTION, POTENTIAL INTENTION RETENTION God almighty always want to get our attention. most of the time God needs our attention to do what he wants to do in our lives. God cannot do or tell us what he has for us until we pay total attention. people dont have what they need because most of the time they couldnt pay full attention when God is trying to capture their attention. We were told in the above scriptures that the bush was burning and was not consumed. It was a divine orchestration of God , it was a manifestation from God. Now, God is not just into bush burning business, God wanted to deliver a message. there is so much preaching about the burning bush and most of them always miss the very vital points behind the burning bush . God was not coming to burn the bush for burning sake, he had an important message at the back of his mind for MOSES, he wasnt coming to burn the bush , he was coming to deliver a MESSAGE.! Please get that today . WE were told in the scriptures that until MOSES began to look at the bush that was burning and was not consumed over a period of time it was when he drew nigh to behold this wonderful sight, as he drew nigh to the fire, GOD BEGAN TO SPEAK TO MOSES! And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. It was when God saw that the scenario had captured his attention and he was fully fascinated by the bush that was burning endlessly and was not consumed maybe for an hour or quarter of an hour , as soon as he approached the fire out of curiosity that God began to speak to him and delivered an important message to him. Please keep this words in your spirit, GOD CANNOT SPEAK TO YOU UNTIL HE HAS CAPTURED YOUR FULL ATTENTION! that is why many cant hear the voice of God, we have become too busy for him to capture our full attention ! The hustling and bustling of the day and our great demand on time and personal schedules are robbing us of a life transforming encounters and messages! There is a difference in being busy and being effective! One can be very busy and yet not effective ! In the case of SAMUEL God had an important message for him, so God called him out of heaven by name . 1 Samuel 3:3-10 And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; That the Lord called Samuel:and he answered, Here am I. And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. And the Lord called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again. Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the word of the Lord yet revealed unto him. And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the Lord had called the child. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down:and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. GOD called SAMUEL, he was inexperienced, he has never heard the voice of God before, so he got up and went to ELi, thinking it was Eli that called . When he did that, God didnt add any further message . then God called him again , he stood up and went to Eli and yet God didnt add any further message . it happened thrice. Then at the third time, Eli discerned God was the one calling so he positioned him to give God attention and taught him the exact words to use to receive the rest of the message . Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down:and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place GOD CANNOT SPEAK TO YOU UNTIL HE HAS YOUR FULL ATTENTION Dont take lightly experienced and seasoned men of God that God Has placed in your life , thank God for the discernment and the experience of Eli ,who helped SAMUEL to discerned the voice of God and positioned him to receive a clear cut divine message from God, that is why we have teachers and spiritual leaders and fathers to help positioned us ! Had it not been for Eli,s experience, the inexperienced SAMUEL would have missed the voice of God and the attendant message ! dont toy with men who have had more spiritual experience and ministry mileage than you, you cant jump the gun, there are things they know that you might not know 2 Samuel 24:11 For when David was up in the morning, the word of the Lord came unto the prophet Gad, Davids seer, saying, Listen david was an anointed man of God, he could hear the voice of God, but he still had a seer beside him! Every pastor needs a pastor, every one leading needs also a leader, every prophet needs a prophet ! Dont walk alone, SAMSON walked alone and paid dearly for it, if SAMSON had a seer beside him, he would have seen long ahead the traps of Delilah ! In the case of MOSES, God set the bush on fire just to get Moses,s attention ! you cant imagine something God will allow to happen in your life , family , finances, health ,and relationship just to get your attention .it is not about anything else , but just to get your attention something God will even allow you to lose something just to get our attention ! Loss is a tool use to create a desire for change ! so God will allow you lose something just to birth a desire for change! Whatever it is , he does so just to get your attention ! He can interrupt the flow of money, relationship, or even cause a delay in building project just to get your attention ! He can make those who love you to hate you just to get your attention ! He loves your attention! And can do anything to get it ! Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. POTENTIAL The next word I want to share with you is potential .Once he got Moses attention , he began to speak to his potential ! Exodus 4:2 And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: MOSES had this rod all along with him for years but never realized its potentials and what God could do with what he already have in his hands! After he got his attention he began to speak to MOSES about his potential .once he gets your attention he will begin to speak about your potential ! it is not about what you dont have it is about what you already have ! so many of us have not discovered our full potentials or have them stirred up to their full capacity and use because we have not given God the full attention he needs to address and speak into our potentials! the next word I want to share with you is INTENTION. After he gets your attention ,and speak to you about potential, he will start dealing with you about your intention . We dont live life anyhow we live life based on intention .intention rules our world . The intention he puts in MOSES is to go to EGYPT ! Exodus 3:10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. That was the intention he shared with MOSES and that was the vision that guided his life ! The last word I will share with you is RETENTION . John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Please note. the desire of God here. ...... That your fruit may remain! That is retention ! He wants us to have retention ability ! You are not bless by what you get but what you keep .how many out of the souls you won to The Lord that are still fruits remaining? What is it that you retain from what God said to you a while ago ? What about the good relationship he gave you ? If you think or you have an idea that is good. ink it ! write them down ! For retention sake! a short pencil is better than a long memory Truth not Rehearsed is soon forgotten We should be able to retain what God gives to us , You should be able to retain what God gives to you I pray you will give God your attention, he will address your potentials and unveil also his intentions to you and at the end of it all you will have the ability to retain what he does in you and for you !
