Expressing Your Opinions As A Hibernian Supporter - It’s Not A Crime It’s come to our attention of late that if you choose to express your opinion as a supporter of Hibernian FC on any of the public forums or across social media platforms, you are more often that not lambasted by other supporters who imply you are being negative. We feel this is completely unfair and un-called for. Some of the personal attacks and abuse being dished out to fellow Hibernian FC supporters by Hibernian FC supporters is shocking and quite frankly embarrassing. You might well view peoples opinions as negative, but at least it’s well placed negativity considering the absolute state the football club finds itself in 2014. Hibernian Retro like the large majority of supporters are of course all for the changes implemented so far. But If you think the appointment of Leeane Dempster, Alan Stubbs and a new back room team and not forgetting the 1 player we have signed is the answer to every Hibernian FC supporters wishes, then you have another thing coming. The large majority of clubs across Scotland are in the process of building a new squad in readiness for the new season. Hibernian FC on the other hand continue to send supporters ever increasing e mails pleading with us to buy season tickets and buy a football strip which will probably go down as the worst strip in Hibernian FC’s history and of course the really important stuff like telling us in July that we are having a Christmas party. All this only goes to show how much desperation there is within the walls of the corporate entity at the club. Along with Rod Petrie, the PR machine continues to embarrass this club and without a shadow of a doubt both have played it’s part in destroying the club over the years. You cannot ignore the catastrophic mess Hibernian FC has been in for many years and make no bones about it still in. We do not expect what we are about to say will go down to too well, but it’s the way we see it and unless significant improvements are made the signs of which there are none at this current time, is exactly whats going to happen at Hibernian FC. Hibernian FC will not be promoted back to the SPL any time soon and will remain in the Scottish championship for considerable time. We understand that as supporters we should try to remain as optimistic as possible prior to a new season kicking off, but at this moment in time there is absolutely nothing thats happened to affirm that things are going to happen on the pitch this season which is where it matters most for the supporters of Hibernian FC. This will become apparent as each game passes during the 2014 / 2015 season when we will be found languishing mid table or worse fighting down the bottom of the league for survival AGAIN! It’s decent players who make a football club successful more than anything and not marketing campaigns and begging letters and the continued repetition of lines such - A lot has been done already. As a supporter of Hibernian FC you should continue to air your views publicly about anything to do with the club. Do not feel the need to justify your thoughts to anybody or be put off by anybody who verbally attacks or abuses you in the process. Please share. GGTTH
