FELLOW NIGERIANS Some days ago, Our government under dis administration said Nigerian economy is now the BEST IN AFRICA, so I took some time to do some statistics about our currency (Naira) compared to that of some other countries in Africa, These are my results: Lybia: 1 Libyan dinar is equal to N130.69 South Africa: 1 SA rand is equal to N15.64 Tunisia: 1 Tun. dinar is equal to N102.97 Sudan (which has been in civil war for decades): 1 Sud. Pound is equal to N28.72 Egypt: 1 Egy. Pound is equal to N23.43 Gambia: 1 Gam. Dalasi is equal to N4.29 Ghana: 1 Gh. Cedi is equal to N60.41 Ethiopia: 1 Eth. Birr is equal to N8.42 Morocco: 1 Moro. Dirham is equal to N20.02 Zambia: 1 Zam. Kwacha is equal to N26.48 Botswana: 1 Bots. Pula is equal to N18.73 Swaziland: 1 Swazi. Lilangeni is equal to N15.58 Nambia: 1 Nam. Dollar is equal to N15.58 Eritrea: 1 Eri. Nakfa is equal to N10.86 Lesotho: 1 Les. Loti is equal to N15.60 Seychelles: 1 Sey. Rupee is equal to N13.49 A countrys economy is first determined by its currency. Nigerias economy is the best in Africa, yet: - Our currency (Naira) is valueless - The rate of unemployment is booming like a burning flame - There is insecurity everywhere in the country - There is corruption in all our arms of the government - The countrys citizens are not valued - Injustice everywhere - Fuel Price has been inflated - 80% of Nigerians are tenants in their fathersland - Prices of foods and other commodities are facing rapid inflation day-by-day. - There is inadequate generation of electricity and citizens still pay high sum for it. - There is no adequate maintenance of our roads - The education system (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) is nothing to write home about. e.t.c. The question is that: What has the so-called GDP rebasing done to tackle and counter the problems above, which made Nigerian economy the best?? I pray the next time we are talking about the rise of our economy, It will be changing our lives positively and counter the problems above, AMIN!!
