FGBNMS Research Team and R/V MANTA returned late last night from an expedition with the Cooperative Institute for Ocean Exploration, Research, and Technology (CIOERT) - our partners from Florida Atlantic University , Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, and University of North Carolina at Wilmington - Undersea Vehicle Program, conducted scuba diving operations on the shallow portions of the FGBNMS as well as remotely operated vehicle (ROV) operations to explore deeper water habitat within the sanctuary, and also at Bright and McGrail Banks in the NW Gulf of Mexico.
