FTA: If you’re using speaker phone, let the person(s) you’re speaking with know who else is on the call with you before you begin the conversation. That way, they will not be confused when another person’s voice suddenly pops in later on. When I was with Reliance Electric, we used to call these ambush calls. I cordially detest speakerphones. I understand their use in the car where mandated. It just seems pompous when someone uses one constantly while in the office. Youre just not that important. Pick up the frigging phone.
