Fairpoint is losing customers and money. This isnt a surprise to anyone. The workers at Verizon told the Legislature and the PUC to stop this deal before it happened, because Fairpoint wasnt capable of running our landlines. Heres a quote from the Fairness at FairPoint facebook page, Union negotiators have put forward several proposals that would save the company almost $180 million. The company has rejected these proposals, saying that they are non-starters and not even in the ballpark. $180 million is A LOT more than theyre losing, why is this a non-starter?
