Fanning ethnic tensions at this critical juncture will not serve - TopicsExpress

Fanning ethnic tensions at this critical juncture will not serve Afghanistans cause. Those who dared remove the board, inscribed with Pashtoonistan Wat in Kabul, were doing nothing more than farting. It was a good and timely decision by Afghan govt to thwart designs of these thugs by placing that board again on its original place. Afghanistan belongs to all living there. It belongs to Pashtoons; it belongs to ethnic minorities (the Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras, etc). All have a big stake in preserving the territorial integrity, peace and sovereignty of this country. When the so-called Pashtoon Taliban pushed the Tajiks, uzbeks and massacred our Hazara brethren in the late 1990s, we stood with the oppressed ones, that is, Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras and all those Pashtoons who in one way or other were involved in the struggle for saving their motherland from the savage Taliban.
