**Fed ex soon to be (club)Fed ex cons for slangin pills: After federal authorities charge Fed Ex with drug dealing (if you hadnt already heard this isnt a joke) last month they have now added money laundering to the dirty laundry list. Fed Ex as in the whole freakin company has been charged in federal court in California for repeatedly delivering controlled substances such as Painkillers. Xanax, Valium and Ambien from shady online pharmacies to addicts and drug dealers across the country. The 15 count indictment accuses the shipping company of knowingly breaking the law and Fed Ex is going to have a hard time denying this considering the fact they delivered large boxes of pills to abandoned homes, out front of office buildings and even made hand offs in parking lots and street corners in which they reportedly received bags of cash as payment! Federal authorities have now added money laundering to the string of charges which is similar to peeling off a band aid and pouring salt on an a wound that hasnt even healed yet. Not to be wearing orange jumpsuits alone, Fed Exs largest competitor and rival UPS has already settled similar charges from last year and all I can say is at least they arent doing drive by shootings on each others corporate headquarters or kidnapping drivers. If these stories surprise you they really shouldnt there actually has been a slew of huge corporations mainly banks which have been hit by record breaking fines connected to illegal or shady activity as of recent. A few examples include Bank of America, Western Union, and JP Morgan, American companies accused of or convicted of money laundering, the Swiss bank Credit Suisse which was recently fined $2.6 billion for helping wealthy Americans evade their taxes, as well as the French bank BNP Paribas which received a whopping $8.97 billion penalty for allegedly breaking U.S. sanctions and covertly doing business with Iran, Sudan, and other countries currently banned for their ties to financing terrorism! Perhaps one of the most egregious of these examples was when last year the American bank HSBC actually admitted to laundering Drug Cartels illicit profits, this included certain HSBC branches down in Mexico having a special teller window which had been enlarged so it could fit the weekly delivery of huge duffel bags of cash, the proceeds of the sales of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Heroin north of the border. HSBC was fined $2 Billion for these activities by U.S. authorities a then near record amount until the recent $16.6 BILLION fine that Bank of America was hit with for knowingly selling toxic mortgages to investors which was credited with at least in part causing the financial crisis and following recession of 2008.
