Feel a need to share these sentiments here. It is long, but genuine. Have a great rest of your weekend if you stop reading here. I believe in the God described in the Bible and books I believe to be modern scriptures. I believe He loves us and that His desire for us, His children, is to have immortality and eternal life. And due to this He sees each us as having tremendous worth. I believe devoutly that because God sees us that way, we should practice more decency, kindness, peace, love, and understanding toward one another. Believers should never project any less on non-believers even or especially when non-believers are critical or harsh in their condemnations. I believe God entrusts us with choice and that we are held accountable for our choices (agency). With that I believe we have no need to choose fear in any form or context. I believe we have the right to choose good or poorly, but the consequences are already attached to the choices, so we need not fear. True love, sincere charity, casts out fear, but only as we accept the basic premise that we must practice complete faithfulness to Gods higher order, His will. Failing that we give in to base prejudices, ignorant philosophies, demoralizing notions and teachings. Wont mean we dont wonder, even doubting our ability to be faithful, but it means we wont have time for fearfulness and negative practices and efforts. It is not about my God or your God or their God, but about feeling the light that says we are Gods greatest work, that His glory is about our eternal happiness because we are so valuable to Him. How many lives might be better spent, how many efforts might be more devoutly undertaken, how often might our interactions with others and how we see ourselves be better, etc. if we could know God knows and loves and values each of us? Sadly, too often we seek to control others, we reject the actual message of peace and love embodied in Christ, and we seek to be right at all costs in all circumstances and we live in fear because even (and especially) the believers practice the plan of the Devil, Christs chief adversary. And I believe all of this because we obsess over minor things and we reject the simplicity of faith because darkness has more access points than light, or so we seem to believe. In all our hastening, my LDS family and friends, hasten the willingness to hear Gods will before listening to Talk Radio. The more shrill the rant, the farther we should run. The spirit can inform or guide you to know truth from error but not if you allow the philosophies of men mingled with scripture to rule your hearts and minds. Falsehoods are always wrong and never can be truth no matter how loud they are screamed or ranted about. Truth is eternal and sheds greater light and access to additional truth. Rejecting that idea plunges a heart and mind into darkness, and creates an even more deeply lost world. Hopelessness comes from rejecting truth and light. Really is that simple. To one and all, regardless of who or what or how you are, know you have tremendous value. You are Gods child even if you do not believe in Him. By practicing more peacefulness, loving kindness, and devout decency, we can make the world better by being better people. This is not a waste even though we also know we will see increasing wickedness prior to Christs second coming. This is why I try to do what I do, to be who and how I am daily. Not perfect and reject the pretense of being so in this life, but I am trying to be a better man each day, with some days better than others. And all I expect from others is to be true to their light, to who or what or how they are. Im grateful to know so many of you because you support and challenge me to be the best me possible. Take time to consider your life and what you like and what you dislike. Then forge ahead doing and being your best. Ill have your back, which is not saying much perhaps. But as we support one another in doing our best we make this world better. I see it daily, so I know more devotion to it will only increase good. Happy Sunday everyone.
