Fellow young people of the Baptist Fellowship I am constrain to - TopicsExpress

Fellow young people of the Baptist Fellowship I am constrain to comment on the ongoing saga in our assembly; Many time we have gone to convention and have had heated argument especially during our election, but never before have we reach to this point that we find ourselves in today. The election in Zwedru, between Mr. Siekula Varney and Mr. Jugbe Nagbe was tensed but because the leadership of the national convention didnt try guiding someone to power and some leaders of the convention didnt try to get at the leadership at the time thereby using the young people to achieve this, we sang, hug, play and ate together that very night after the process. There are few things here we regret, like being used in Buchanan and like to apologize on behalf on the youth who have seen and still like to achieve great things with this assembly. But first and foremost some leaders such as Rev. Emmanuel Shaw should be willing to take some responsibility of what happen in Buchanan. The core of the confusion was from the deceiving information he give concerning church registration. Bro. George T. Sannan, and my own big brothers who I have so much regard for Mr. Martin Allen and Mr., Jallah Corvah, all had the chance to tell the young people that the information from the acting executive Secretary was wrong but failed to do so, therefore it will be a fair assumption to say that theyre in favor of the confusion. As Christians we should be able to say the true at all time. In the meeting you could tell form their posture the information was false. When Mr. Gideon Washington broke the information Mr. Corvah and Mr. Allen was silence for sometime! Mr. Corvah refers to Mr Allen who also asked us to call the acting executive Secretary. I understand that both of them were trying to be neutral because they were mediating, but as mediator they should have been willing to tell the truth and put Mr Washington back on track. However, they still remain my big brothers and if this statement offend them than I apologize. Rev. Menjay also didnt treat the young people fair I know that any statement I make here will be interpreted as rudeness to the man of God, but in my opinion Rev Menjay was deceptive in his so call suspension. You cant say you suspend the young people of the convention and than allow some people to go and represent this same young at international event if he was honest in his comment than he should have stop those that went to represent us on the very grounds of his comments in Buchanan that he was suspending all activities of the youth. Another very important issue is the issue of turning over the money; in the first place, we shouldnt have an independent account without the approval of the national convention. In the absent of youth in session and the board of managers the leadership of the young people should report to the national convention or the board of managers of the convention but not few people who maybe acting on their own and therefore the money in question should be turn over the national treasurer, or be deposited in convention account wish is the right procedure.
