Fin de Claire oysters in Singapore, S$8 each! A few years ago I took Julio to Mont Saint-Michel, the beautiful fortified abbey off the Bretagne coast in France, where the causeway from the mainland used to be submerged at high tide. On the way to the nearby port of St. Malo, we got lost, and stumbled upon Cancale, which of course is famous for their oysters. We bought a dozen for just €6, straight from the sea oyster beds, and sat on the pier and wolfed them down. We then looked at each other and immediately agreed on a dozen more. One of the best times I had with Julio, unforgettable. I miss my sons every day.
