Finally heard back from my doctor. Hes going to start me on ropinirole (REQUIP). Its a dopamine agonist, a medicine that increases dopamine in the brain. It can cause problems with upset stomach and drowsiness, so it is going to be increased gradually over eight weeks (assuming it doesnt make me feel too sick). This is my third Parkinsons medicine. If this doesnt work, theres a chance I dont have PD. Apparently theres a hang up in getting the prescription filled though, so Ill likely get it this weekend and start then. Well see what happens... As always I appreciate your prayers. Not sure if I want the meds to work or not... So Ill let you figure out what to pray for :-).
